As a Major in the Royal Engineers, British Army Reserves, I have served continuously as a soldier since joining in 2005. Having commissioned from the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, my military journey spans over two decades of leadership and service. My experience includes serving as a staff member at the Bristol University Officer Training Corps, where I focused on inspiring students in both engineering and military careers. From my time working in Explosive Ordnance & Search, leading specialised teams enabling route clearance and now contributing nationally to airfield sustainment, I’ve lived every side of reserve service. That extensive background, recognized by a Chief Royal Engineers Commendation and a Silver Medal at Exercise Cambrian Patrol, NATO’s toughest patrol test, means I know exactly what it takes to balance civilian life with military excellence.
